Cheddar Valley Steam offer a complete boiler making service.  Only high quality materials are used. Boilers are all copper with bronze bushes, silver soldered throughout to approved designs or to customer's designs as requested.  All completed boilers are supplied with a hydraulic test certificate and a certificate of conformity, showing the boiler meets all current regulations and where materials are purchased.  Customers are welcome to see their boiler at any stage of construction and if they wish, are also welcome to see their boiler on hydraulic test.  Prices for many published designs are available upon request or please forward drawings to us for quoting.

For the model engineer who is confident in boiler making, Cheddar Valley Steam can supply boiler materials kits to published or customers’ designs.  Prices available upon request.

We carry a limited amount of boiler making materials at Cheddar Valley Steam, please enquire for any materials that you require and we will do our best to help or let you know when the required material is to be received into stock.

Many people have bought kits for boilers only to find that they do not have either the time, skills or equipment needed to complete it.  Here at Cheddar Valley Steam we would be happy to look at any kits and quote a price for completing them, although we would prefer it if silver soldering has not been attempted.

If you have a project in mind but don’t know what boiler would be suitable, we will be happy to work with you in designing a boiler for our manufacture.  This is more applicable to marine type boilers than locomotive boilers.  Call us for further information or advice on this matter.
